Anyone going through rough times due to inflation, health reasons, loss of job or anything like the saying "robbing Peter to pay Paul" should realize these are hard times and your financial situation is typical of many Canadians these days. A free consultation with BDO will be really helpful. There is no judgment, only honest people there to listen and help. Life is life and things happen. Yvette Power helped us choose the right option for us. I can honestly spend less time worrying about how we will meet our daily/monthly obligations. Thank you, Yvette!

I have learned a lot about expenses. What I truly need and wanted and how I used my income was an eye opener to the unhealthy ways I was using money leading to my bankruptcy. When I needed guidance and clarity the staff was always there and very prompt in getting back to me. I was cared for and respected in the recovery of my financial state. Thank you for your time and help during that difficult time.

Kerry Carter has always been a pleasant and friendly first contact when visiting BDO. She has a very professional mannerism, her presence has always made it seem like a reliable and safe environment. Whenever I had questions, Kerry was quick to respond and offered a kind and useful response.

After completing post secondary school I had high amounts of student debt and consumer debts that required high monthly payments. After having children the added costs of childcare and children’s needs resulted in my budget becoming overextended. Financial stress became too high of a burden so I made the tough decision to seek debt solutions. BDO staff were supportive throughout the process and provided step by step practical guidance along the way. At first I was very hesitant but in time I realized that not only was this the right solution, but that it would have been better if I had sought debt solutions three to five years earlier to prevent long term experiences of financial strain. Debt solutions really are just that 'solutions' and the BDO team are experts in this area and are eager to roll out a workable plan to get you out of debt.

Adam Cardwell was amazing at making us not feel like failures and helping to make what had the potential to be a terrible time in our lives a little more bearable, and somehow made us feel like were were still in control even though there were so many unknowns for us. We cannot thank him enough.

Going through something like filing bankruptcy can be scary, humiliating and so overwhelming, but Adam Cardwell set our minds at ease. He explained everything in detail and ensured we were aware of all potential options. When it came time to proceed, he helped us make an informed decision, answered all our questions, ensured we were 100% comfortable with our decision and all potential outcomes before proceeding with filing.

Over the years I dealt with BDO, I found them to be very understanding when personal affairs came up, very patient, great to work with. They gave me all the possible assistance and resources required to push through such a difficult time. Special thanks to Tracey St. Croix, Nancy Snedden, Michelle Walsh in the St. John's NL office for great personal and professional service. I would definitely recommend this group to handle and navigate your insolvency or proposal requirements.

Life often takes us on many unexpected ups and downs. Being self-employed has so many benefits and rewards, but when you get injured there's no one to do your work for you. Most of us live above our means and rely heavily on every paycheque. Disability only covers a fraction of your income, and things can feel hopeless in a hurry. It can feel embarrassing to admit you need help. The sooner you leave your pride at the door and reach out to BDO, the sooner you get your life back.
