I originally spoke with BDO to see what my options were as at the time I lost about 40% of my income and still had a lot of outstanding debt. David has extensive experience with small to large businesses in a variety of industry sectors. Helen Brown is a Senior Insolvency Administrator with over 30 years of experience in the insolvency field. She joined BDO in 2006 and has been helping people find the best debt solutions for their financial difficulties since 1991. Helen assists clients through the consumer proposal and bankruptcy process. From the initial consultation with Helen, and throughout the entire process, she is passionate about being a helpful guiding force in her clients’ road to financial recovery. Helen is personable, professional, and compassionate towards each person’s unique situation. She takes pride in creating a safe environment where her clients feel empowered and understood.
Helen feels that the most rewarding part of her job is the change in someone’s positive outlook once they have completed the insolvency process.
Helen attended Humber College of Applied Arts & Technology and earned a diploma as a law clerk. She has furthered her education by successfully completing the Insolvency Administrator’s course. Helen is also a Certified Insolvency Counsellor and a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals.
Helen is a member of the Chambers of Commerce with Aurora and Newmarket, and a member of The Business Women’s Network of York Region. Helen also participates in financial literacy presentations.
