BDO guided me through a difficult time in my life, step by step, with all of the information I needed to make informed decisions about my financial situation. Bankruptcy is a stressful experience, but BDO provided the information I needed to get things back on track, answering all my questions along the way. I’m in a much better financial situation now and have learned new skills to better manage my money.

My consumer proposal experience: I had been putting off dealing with my credit card and line-of-credit debt, which totaled about $25,000. I tried to pay the bank back for years without ever touching the principal. Eventually the creditors started calling about 10 times a day. After talking with my BDO counsellor, we decided to offer the bank $135/month for 60 months and the bank accepted the offer. She has been supportive and understanding. She made the whole process easy, convenient and understandable for me. Thank you BDO! (Reposted from Google My Business reviews with client's consent.)

Rob Johnson
Licensed Insolvency Trustee
email[email protected] Read bioIn 2010 after spending several years in the Corporate Restructuring world, working with the Big Banks and other Financial Lenders and realizing the direct impact corporate downsizing and insolvency had on employees and their families, Rob changed his focus to helping the average person recover from their financial burdens instead of being part of the system that created the problems.
Over the past 13 years Rob has helped thousands of people and families regain control of their finances and restore balance to their life so they can move forward. Rob understands today’s financial burdens and struggles faced by individuals and families, which are very different and unique from decades ago.
Please don’t hesitate in reaching out to Rob to discuss your story, just knowing your options is the first step to moving forward and taking back control. Bankruptcy is not always the answer and where possible Rob will provide other solutions to help you take control and get back on track.
During his downtime, Rob enjoys attending music festivals, volunteering with the Canadian Deaf and Blind Association – NB, and spending time with family and friends when he is not on the golf course looking for his ball in the woods.
“ I am passionate about helping people become financially stable. From speaking to students about debt and credit cards to helping seniors’ live debt free on a fixed income, and all the ages and stages in between.
