Paul has over 13 years of insolvency experience and currently practices in the Hamilton-Burlington area, meeting with individuals, business, financial advisors, and lawyers to help find creative solutions to resolve financial difficulties. Solutions that help both individuals and businesses restart their financial lives, and guide them on the path to financial rehabilitation. This positive approach provides them peace of mind and comfort in times of difficulty.
Paul manages an innovative national program that helps financial institutions manage the recovery and rehabilitation of small businesses. This gives him a unique perspective when meeting with individuals and advising them on how to deal with their creditors. Paul is also a regular presenter to financial institutions, professionals and government agencies on various insolvency matters.
Paul is active with his family in the Dundas community, in particular the Dundas Minor Sports Community. He is a past coach and convenor with the Dundas Youth Soccer Club and is a Past President of Dundas Minor Hockey Association.
Chris leads BDO’s Financial Recovery Services practice in the Hamilton/Niagara area, working with both individuals and business owners to find constructive solutions for both debtors and creditors. With over 24 years of experience in the insolvency profession, Chris has undertaken various engagements covering a broad range of businesses and industries.
Chris is a past Director of the Ontario Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals. He is also a former Director of the Niagara board of the Canadian Cancer Society. Chris has spoken to various financial institutions and law groups on business recovery and insolvency issues. Amanda Becker is a Senior Administrator for BDO Canada Limited servicing our Fort Erie, Welland and Port Colborne offices.
Amanda joined BDO Canada Limited in 2007, and has worked in the financial recovery industry for over 16 years. Amanda obtained her Insolvency Administration certification in 2010 and her Insolvency Counsellor’s certification in 2011. Her knowledge and experience provide her with the skills required to assist those individuals who are experiencing serious financial difficulties.
Amanda is known for her friendly and welcoming approach when dealing with individuals going through financial problems. She is able to provide a compassionate, but relaxed atmosphere to assist in relieving the stress brought on by debt.
Amanda is a member of both Welland/Pelham and the Port Colborne/Wainfleet Chambers of Commerce. Amanda is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to the New York Yankees and Buffalo Sabres. She enjoys spending her time with her husband and son traveling to drag racing events throughout Canada and the United States.
Lynne is a Senior Administrator in the Financial Recovery Service Practice serving the Niagara Region.
She has worked in the financial recovery industry for over 10 years assisting individuals with resolving their financial difficulties and acting as a mediator between debtors and creditors.
Lynne joined BDO Canada Limited in 2010 as part of the consumer practice helping individuals with their debts and financial recovery. Her knowledge and experience provide her with the skills required to advise individuals of their options best suited for them. She also provides credit counselling assistance to improve and strengthen budgeting skills which helps develop confidence in this area for the individual throughout and after a consumer proposal or bankruptcy process.
Lynne is a designated commissioner of oaths for taking affidavits pertaining to insolvency matters. She has successfully completed the Insolvency Counsellor Course in 2008 and the Insolvency Administrator Course in 2009. Prior to obtaining her insolvency education she graduated from Niagara College in 2001 with honours in the Executive Business Administration Program.
Lynne enjoys her role at BDO and the importance she plays in helping individuals regain control of their finances to make a fresh start.
Kathy joined BDO Canada Limited in 2001. Kathy obtained her Insolvency Administrator’s accreditation in 1993; where she has helped thousands of individuals in the Niagara Region investigate all their financial alternatives including debt settlement through filing a consumer proposal or after considering all other solutions filing an assignment in bankruptcy.
Kathy obtained her Insolvency Counselor’s accreditation in 1996; where she provides budget and credit counseling to individuals assisting them in establishing good financial habits to secure their future. Kathy’s extensive knowledge in the financial industry has provided her with the tools to help individuals obtain the fresh start they have been seeking. She also assists individuals in overcoming a variety of financial problems by setting attainable goals.
