Our Team

Jasmin Brown
Jasmin is a Senior Vice President in BDO’s Financial Recovery Services practice in Saskatoon. She provides insolvency and debt restructuring services to consumers and businesses throughout Saskatchewan.
Jasmin has over ten years of public accounting experience providing audit, accounting, and financial advisory services to both public and private companies in various sectors of the economy including mining, manufacturing, and not-for-profit agencies. She has experience in both personal and corporate restructuring services. Jasmin has worked on interim, private, and court-appointed receiverships, Division I proposals, assignments into bankruptcy and bankruptcy orders. In times of financial difficulty, Jasmin is able to provide solutions with empathy, understanding and professionalism.
Jasmin received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, and a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), and a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP).
Jasmin has authored various articles on the consumer insolvency process. She frequently presents on the topic of insolvency and financial wellness.
Outside of work Jasmin enjoys playing soccer and slo-pitch, being at the lake, and spending time with her family.

Wayne Palmer
Wayne Palmer is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee in BDO’s Financial Recovery Services practice in Saskatoon, SK. Wayne provides insolvency and debt restructuring services to both consumers and businesses throughout Saskatchewan.
Wayne has over 30 years’ experience assisting individual and business debtors; and creditors resolve financial challenges each faces through both formal and informal insolvency processes. He has experience in various provincial jurisdictions and various industry sectors including agriculture; manufacturing; retail; healthcare; hotels; automotive; construction; oil and gas; and technology. Wayne also works with consumer debtors to find optimal solutions to the financial challenges affecting them and their family.
Wayne has been involved in mandates as Consultant and Monitor for secured creditors to find solutions that are beneficial to both the secured creditor and the debtor. He has also been involved in both private and court-appointed receiverships; Monitor and Information officer under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act; trustee under provincial Builder’s Lien Act and trustee in both proposal and bankruptcy proceedings. Some mandates have included cross border proceedings in the United States.
Wayne has also been involved in shareholder disputes by acting as a guardian receiver of property.
Wayne is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA); and a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (“CIRP”). He is a member of each of the respective associations for CPA and CIRP.
Wayne has authored various articles on the insolvency and debt restructuring process.

Krystal Gorges
Krystal is an Administrator in the Financial Recovery Services Practice serving Saskatoon and surrounding area. Her compassionate and professional approach will put you at ease when dealing with financial stress. She assists individuals with resolving their financial difficulties through bankruptcy, consumer proposals, division one proposals and is experienced in negotiating with creditors.
Krystal joined BDO Canada Limited in 2017. Her knowledge and experience provide her with the skills required to advise individuals with options best suited for their situation. She also provides financial counselling to improve and strengthen budgeting and money management skills.
She has successfully completed the BIA Insolvency Counsellor Qualification course, the Insolvency Administrator course and also holds her diploma as an advanced Legal Administrative Assistant and is a Commissioner of Oaths in the Province of Saskatchewan.

Jessica Purdy
Jessica is an Administrator in the Financial and Recovery Services Practice serving Saskatoon and area. Jessica received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Calgary.
Jessica joined BDO in 2017. She has successfully completed the Insolvency Administration Course through CAIRP. Jessica has knowledge and experience assisting individuals who are experiencing financial difficulty by providing information and identifying options available for a fresh start. Jessica’s approachable and kindhearted nature provides a safe non-judgmental environment to discuss your individual financial situation. She is a BIA Insolvency Counsellor, providing financial counselling centered on budgeting and money management principles.
Jessica is also a certified Facilitator and conducts presentations on Financial Wellness.
