Our Team
Brian Pritchard
Brian Pritchard is a Senior Vice-President with BDO. Since 1981, Brian has been finding meaningful debt solutions for individuals in the Oshawa area who are experiencing financial difficulties. Brian oversees one of the largest debt help practices in Durham region and has lived and worked in the community for over 30 years. The office is centrally located in the Oshawa Executive Centre, attached to the Oshawa Centre Mall.
Brian takes a unique approach to solving financial challenges, helping individuals address their debt problems head-on, while ensuring that the values that they hold are respected. He helps Oshawa and Durham area residents set both personal and financial goals, helps them explore the various options to deal with debt, and will help them meet their longer term goals.
Brian also provides business debt solutions to professionals (doctors, dentists and lawyers), as well as other self-employed individuals and small to medium size businesses, providing options to help restructure business debt.
Brian previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Insolvency Practitioners Association and has assisted the Superintendent of Bankruptcy with the licensing of new Canadian Licensed Insolvency Trustees. He is frequently asked to speak on insolvency topics to various financial institutions and professional organizations.
Brian is a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals as well as the Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario.
Brian is a director of the Ajax Squash Club, a member of the Ski Committee for Hearth Place Oshawa and is a Director of the Ontario Barefoot Water Ski Council.
Wendy Villeneuve
Wendy Villeneuve is a Senior Financial Recovery Service Administrator for BDO Canada Limited servicing our various offices located in Oshawa, Ajax, and Bowmanville, Ontario. With over 20 years’ experience in the financial recovery industry, Wendy has helped hundreds of individuals through the bankruptcy and consumer proposal process. She has also been involved with several large corporate bankruptcies and restructuring proposals.
Wendy completed her Insolvency Administrator’s accreditation in 1997 and obtained her Insolvency Counsellor’s Certificate in 1998, where she provides counseling to insolvent individuals assisting them in establishing good financial habits. She is a member of the National Insolvency Qualification Program through the Canadian Association of Insolvency Restructuring Professionals and holds the designation of a Commissioner of Oaths for Taking Affidavits with respect to insolvency matters.
Wendy attended Durham College where she completed the Legal Administration Program in 1990 and subsequently attended Trent University obtaining her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) degree in 2008.
She is a supporter and regular attendee of many of the local Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Clarington Board of Trade events. As well, Wendy has been very involved raising funds for various charities in the community including Big Brothers and Sisters of Oshawa/Whitby; Canadian Cancer Society; Loaves and Fishes Food Bank; Habitat for Humanity; Feed the Need in Durham; Durham Children’s Aid Foundation and Grandview Children’s Centre. Wendy also enjoys attending country music festivals and spending quality time with her husband and three children.
